Kisses For Frogs

Kisses For Frogs

The meadows grown into bloom
Fresh flowers for her ebony hair
Princess in need of a suitor
Free for the first man who cares

But the prince rode past her tower
Leaving her to wait for another
And the frogs still patiently hoping
For a kiss from a princess' lips

Leaves on the trees turn yellow
And fall to carpet the brown earth
Yet the maiden inside her castle
Yearns a knight in shining armour

But the prince rode past her tower
Leaving her to wait for another
And the frogs still patiently hoping
For a kiss from a princess' lips

Snow so pure as her broken heart
Plaintive cries that are the wind
Still a princess waits for her love
His silhouette on the next horizon

But the prince rode past her tower
Leaving her to wait for another
And the frogs still patiently hoping
For a kiss from a princess' lips

New shoots of green life emerge
But still her heart won't flower
Even though she loved him so much
Sought his love from across the land

But the prince rode past her tower
Leaving her to wait for another
And the frogs still patiently hoping
For a kiss from a princess' lips
