Serene Destruction
Serene Destruction
If no man is an island
Why do you surround yourself
With this boiling ocean of hate?
Whilst your very last land-bridge
Slowly submerges in your fear
And the rain from this storm
Hides the tears on your cheek
Thunder from the heavens
Muffles your anguished screams
Your soul is drenched in sorrow
Three drops of velvet red blood
Tarnish your thoughts of love
Soak that letter of broken promise
Yet your loneley island can not stay
As the ocean around you encroaches
If no man is an island
Why do you surround yourself
With this boiling ocean of hate?
Whilst your very last land-bridge
Slowly submerges in your fear
And the rain from this storm
Hides the tears on your cheek
Thunder from the heavens
Muffles your anguished screams
Your soul is drenched in sorrow
Three drops of velvet red blood
Tarnish your thoughts of love
Soak that letter of broken promise
Yet your loneley island can not stay
As the ocean around you encroaches
